|WELCOME TO GREYHOUND PET ADOPTION SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI!|
Greyhound Pet Adoption Springfield MO is an all volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides information, education, promotion of adoption and adoption of retired racing Greyhounds. We also promote cooperation with other adoption programs nationwide to further the placement of Greyhounds as pets into responsible loving homes. We believe not only doing the best we can adopting Greyhounds in the Ozarks but also assisting groups in areas that are so overwhelmed with huge numbers of Greyhounds to help that they must be transported to other adoption programs throughout the US.
Alane Shultz is the founder of GPAMO and has had retired racing greyhounds as pets for 34 years. She has facilitated greyhound adoptions since 1992.
Greyhounds are clean, quiet and have no hereditary health problems. Their exercise requirements are surprisingly low - they prefer to curl up and have you pet them! Loving and loyal, your greyhound is your fast friend for life!
JOIN US AT PETCO!
We're celebrating our 25th year with a MEET A GREYHOUND DAY on Saturday, July 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the new Petco in coincidence with their Grand Opening! We had our first Meet A Greyhound Day in October 1992 at Petsmart, and had our first two Greyhound adoptions in July 1992.
From now on, Springfield Meet & Greets will take place at this Greyt new Petco!
We need your help! We need volunteers and Greyhounds to sign up from either 11 to 1 or 1 to 3. We will be inside and need as many Greyhounds as possible to stop by that day. If you can't stay the full two hours that's okay too.
This is an important day for GPAMO! Petco is a Greyt supporter of local rescues and shelters and backs that up with end of year $$$ donations. They actually help the local groups that support their stores with cash rewards.
As an incentive, if you attend with your Greyhound, you will have a chance to win a Greyt prize! We will have prizes that only Greyhound people have a chance to win.
Please let Alane Shultz know if you can stop by from 11 to 1 or 1 to 3. Email your response to AlaneGreyhound@gmail.com or text to 417-839-3138.
FOSTER FAMILIES NEEDED!
Buddy, who raced as "Quirky Bedlam", is 6 years old and a very friendly boy. He would do well with cats, other dogs, and kids; but Buddy really needs another dog as a friend in his new home. He's well behaved in the house and is an all around sweet guy.

Dog Knose Art, by Nicole Peters,
Showcase the artwork of your sweet family dog, cat or any animal you share your loving home with. Before you clean the nose-smudged, tongue-licked strokes from your glass, have them turned into a unique, abstract piece of art to display in your home. Dog Knose Art will create your preferred color scheme and size to fit into your current decor. The result will be a memorable keepsake that involves your pet in a beautiful and sentimental way.
