| WELCOME TO GREYHOUND PET ADOPTION SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI! |
Alane Shultz is the founder of GPAMO and has had retired racing greyhounds as pets since 1983. She has facilitated greyhound adoptions since 1992. Greyhounds are clean, quiet and have no hereditary health problems. Their exercise requirements are surprisingly low - they prefer to curl up and have you pet them! Loving and loyal, your greyhound is your fast friend for life! |

MEET OUR FEATURED GREYHOUND
| DRAGON |
![]() |
| Dragon was 3 in August. He likes to play with toys and take walks. He's loving and social. Dragon is well behaved in the house and gets along with the other Greyhounds where he's fostered. Dragon would be okay as an only dog or he’d be fine with another large female dog. He is not cat or small dog friendly. He needs to live with adults; if there are children in the household, they must be high school age and up. As mentioned, he likes toys and would be interested in chewing and eating children’s toys as well. Hence, no children under high school age for him. Dragon needs a fenced yard. … See photos of Dragon |

Showcase the artwork of your sweet family dog, cat or any animal you share your loving home with. Before you clean the nose-smudged, tongue-licked strokes from your glass, have them turned into a unique, abstract piece of art to display in your home. Dog Knose Art will create your preferred color scheme and size to fit into your current decor. The result will be a memorable keepsake that involves your pet in a beautiful and sentimental way.

Greyhound Pet Adoption Springfield MO is an all volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides information, education, promotion of adoption and adoption of retired racing Greyhounds. We also promote cooperation with other adoption programs nationwide to further the placement of Greyhounds as pets into responsible loving homes. We believe in not only doing the best we can adopting Greyhounds in the Ozarks, but also in assisting groups in areas that are so overwhelmed with huge numbers of Greyhounds to help that they must be transported to other adoption programs throughout the US.
